Latvia imposes ban on export of cars to Belarus

Another unfriendly step of the Western neighbors. Latvia, following Poland, has introduced a ban on the export of cars to Belarus. We are talking about vehicles, where the engine volume exceeds 1.6 liters, as well as cars worth more than €50 thousand.

The Customs Committee of Belarus issued a warning to car owners. Since March 26, cars with transit numbers are simply turned away from the border at the only working Latvian-Belarusian border crossing point "Paternieki,"

The eyewitnesses tell on the Internet about almost impossible conditions. In particular: it is necessary to provide a document confirming that the car manufacturer knows who the seller and buyer are; it is also aware of the transit through Belarus or Russia and guarantees that the car will not be resold on the territory of these countries.
