The approaches to the country's national security are being discussed today at the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. A conference on the social and economic development of the state under the conditions of conflicting geopolitical processes is taking place right now. Experts talk about real and potential threats to the national interests of Belarus and about the measures to be taken to protect them. The preservation of historical memory is also in the spotlight. All this is taken into account in the development of the new edition of the Constitution.

Vladimir Archakov, Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus:

Of course, such values as sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and a socially oriented state governed by the rule of law remain inviolable. At the same time, the new Constitution addresses the national interest of the well-being and prosperity of each person.

Vyacheslav Danilovich, Principal of the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus:

You see the situation that is emerging in the modern world. In fact, this is an attempt to create a controlled chaos, the destruction of the structure of the nation-state. All this requires an appropriate response. We must have our own vision of historical response. No one can do it but us. That is why the task of Belarusian historical science is one of the key elements of the national security of Belarus.
