The President of Belarus is going to pay a working visit to Armenia. Tomorrow in Yerevan, Alexander Lukashenko will take part in a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council. The event will be held in narrow and enlarged format. The leaders will discuss current international and regional security issues and summarize the results of the CSTO activities during the intersessional period. The summit participants will also discuss a wide range of issues related to various spheres of interaction. The Belarusian Foreign Minister shared his expectations of the summit.

Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus:

“The meeting should make a significant decisive contribution to the improvement of our organization. We should reach the state that other organizations and integration structures take the CSTO into consideration. But to do this, we ourselves must do everything to ensure that corporate solidarity reigned within our organization so that we really cared about maintaining security in the CSTO area.”

Taking into account the transfer of chairmanship in the organization to Belarus in 2022 and 2023, our President will outline the priority areas on which we will have to concentrate our joint efforts during this period.
