Belarusian scientists discuss future collaboration with colleagues from US

Aspects of future collaboration were discussed today by Belarusian scientists with colleagues from the United States at the first Belarusian-American seminar on scientific cooperation.

Vladimir Gusakov, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Science: "The US colleagues appreciated our Academy of Science, its organization, its achievements, and the main results of the research. We have given them an opportunity to visit a number of our institutions, as a result we have very good impressions."

Matthew Hamill, senior vice president of the National Association of Colleges and Universities in the USA: "We need to make sure those researches and their outcomes, innovations are embodied in products and services. This will enable businesses in your country to grow more intense, your company will be able to become players in a global economy."

American scientists plan to spend about a week in Belarus. They have already managed to visit the Museum of History of the Academy of Sciences and an exhibition on the achievements of Belarusian scientists.
