Belarusian Paralympians are admitted to Summer Olympics in Paris as individual and neutral athletes, and will be able to compete in all competitions under the auspices of the IPC. Such a decision was taken at the IPC General Assembly in Bahrain.
At the same time, the meeting again considered the issue of full suspension of our Paralympic Committee's membership in the international organization. As a result of the vote, 74 votes were against such a decision, 56 - in favor and 15 abstained. Now the Paralympic Committee of Belarus has the right to challenge the partial suspension of membership in the IPC in an independent appeal tribunal, as well as the court in Germany, where the headquarters of the International Paralympic Committee is located. In the meantime, the decision will remain in force until the next assembly in 2025.
