Today, Belarusian rescuers will continue their response to radiation accidents training. The main site of the exercise is the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant.

Yesterday, on the first day of the exercises, rescue workers trained at the training ground of the Emergency Situations Ministry. They worked on the liquidation of emergency situations, extracting people from the rubble, extinguishing fires, and responding to collisions of railway trains. According to the scenario of the training session, the events went on in the conditions of increased radiation.

Today, the main focus of the training session will be on response to radioactive iodine emergencies, temporary resettlement of people, food delivery, and giving notices to people. Later in the course of the exercises, a wide range of issues, including interaction with neighboring countries and international organizations, will be worked on as well.
