Today, within the framework of his visit to Harare, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus was received by the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing interstate contacts. Sergei Aleinik conveyed to the head of the Zimbabwean state the message of the President of the Republic of Belarus on the preparations for the return visit of Emmerson Mnangagwa to Minsk. The President of Zimbabwe, in turn, conveyed his best wishes to his colleague and friend - the President of Belarus - and reiterated his readiness to visit our country in the near future. There was a common understanding of the need to effectively convert good political relations between the countries into concrete economic projects that are beneficial for both countries. The similarity of approaches to the main problems of the global and regional agenda was also emphasized.

Sergei Aleinik, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus:

In general, our cooperation with Zimbabwe is on an upward trajectory. We expect that all the agreements will be implemented. We will conduct a review in the middle of the year to prepare a substantive agenda for the visit of the President of Zimbabwe to our country.
