All 5 members of 7th Belarusian Antarctic expedition to start research season

This will happen for the first time, since the previous expeditions were carried out by reduced teams. Today, the official start was given to the new research season. Academics and experienced researchers said the parting words at the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences. As noted, this campaign, except for scientific, carries for Belarus great political importance. During the expedition installation site for engineering equipment is to be prepared for the first module of our own polar station. Its production is already taking place and will be completed in spring of next year.This year the coldest continent of the planet will be visited by five bold Belarusians. According to tradition, they will be headed by experienced Alexei Gaydashov. The expedition will end in April. During this time, 4 research programs in five areas will be implemented. In addition, researchers will conduct trials of new appliances of domestic production for remote sensing of the environment.
