More than 30,000 hockey fans cross Belarusian border under visa-free regime

This figure is the merit of the State Border Committee responsible for providing the most comfortable conditions for the guests. Experts and colleagues from neighboring countries were constantly in contact with the Belarusian border guards. The majority of fans - about 10,000 - came from Latvia. However, there were those who tried to enter the EU illegally under the guise of hockey fans. Several dozens of illegal immigrants, mostly Asian and African residents, were detained at the border.
