March 23, 2024 is a day that will go down in history. The first woman of sovereign Belarus went into space.

Marina Vasilevskaya in the main crew was chosen from several thousand applicants. Together with her the commander and native of our country Oleg Novitsky and NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson went on a scientific mission to the International Space Station. By the way, the crew's call sign is "Kazbek". The live broadcast of the space event was watched by tens of thousands of people. The countdown was also broadcasted on the air of the TV channel "Belarus 1".

The launch of the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft was successful, and the aircraft was put into orbit. It will reach the ISS by a two-day approach scheme, while Marina Vasilevskaya and Oleg Novitsky will spend 12 days at the station.

Today Belarus has once again confirmed its status of a space power!
