Every time you come to Khatyn, you get goosebumps. Especially on such a day, when all Belarusians together show by their presence here that this is our history and it is not forgotten. 81 years of the greatest tragedy. It was the revenge of the Germans, its price - the lives of 149 people, 75 of whom were children. The youngest was not even 2 months old. They were driven into a barn and burned alive, and those who wanted to escape were shelled. This is a well-known fact, but every year it gets stronger coloring and understanding.

Today everyone is here: public organizations, top officials, Belarusians, who care about our future and our children. From the very morning they have been carrying flowers to the Eternal Flame and to the composition "Unconquered Man."

"Our strength is in this memory. In the fact that we remember every dead, remember those atrocities, remember the tragedy of our land, which people experienced. The inhabitants were destroyed for nothing: they were not members of the fighting, the regular army, the partisan or underground movement. They were simply annihilated," he noted.
