100 years of guarding the tranquility of the people. During this time, no generation has changed, the boundaries on the map are no longer as clear and closed. Drug trafficking, trafficking in human beings, smuggling, transport of arms and waves of illegal migrants - all these, undoubtedly, unpleasant phenomena largely bypassed us just because of the border guards.
And the greatest pressure is imposed on Brest direction. A border guard has a special way of life and thinking. This is perfectly understood by the President. The head of state served in Brest Region. Therefore, he decided to visit familiar places in honor of the anniversary and talk to people, who guard the first meters of Motherland from all the troubles, every minute and every second, without days off and breaks.
But our country cannot be called closed either, about nine million people have passed through Brest checkpoints since the beginning of 2017.
Brest Fortress is a living memorial. An example of the price paid by border guards. Their feat became a signal, the brown plague will never prevail over the world.
