Development of tourism and direct supplies of seafood discussed by President of Belarus with Governor of Kamchatka Krai

Geographical remoteness of Kamchatka and Belarus should not hinder friendship and cooperation. A statement to this effect was made today by the President of Belarus during his meeting with Governor of Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that Minsk and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky are able to significantly increase the trade turnover through direct supplies of seafood and the creation of joint processing facilities. "I am convinced that we will manage to find opportunities to build our relations without unnecessary intermediaries. And thus we will achieve the fact that the products we supply back and forth will be much cheaper," emphasized the head of state.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that Kamchatka Krai is famous for its unique marine riches. "It will be very right and profitable if we try to establish cooperation in this area," said the head of state. He said that when he visited Russia, in particular, the Far East, he was often interested in the subject of supplies of fish products from such remote regions to Belarus. "Everyone says to me with one voice that it is possible to harvest, sell, buy products somewhere closer," the President said. - But we would like to try to supply these products from you. We have a big deficit in this respect.
