Belarus needs to develop its own port infrastructure under the sanctions. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maxim Yermolovich. In the current realities, Belarus pays more attention to logistics, as supplies go to Africa, Asia and Latin America. It is time to think about our own fleet and build a transportation system to the ports, said Yermolovich.
Together with Russian colleagues, railroad logistics routes are already being developed both to the port infrastructure and to the end consumer. The merchant fleet is also one of the tasks that will have to be solved sooner or later in order not to depend on carriers dictating their terms, the speaker concluded.
