Belarusian exports discussed at meeting with Alexander Lukashenko

5 января 2023

The export of Belarusian goods is the topic of today's meeting in the Palace of Independence. Illegal sanctions imposed on our country have led to the prompt transformation of the entire transport and logistics system: export flows have been reoriented and new trade routes have been created. They will pass through Russian sea harbors, plans to build our own port infrastructure are also being discussed

In addition, transportation is also organized through overland routes. Thanks to the measures taken, Belarus was fulfilling its export obligations. The President's task for 2023 is to be even more active in foreign markets.

The President notes that due to attempts to strangle Belarus by sanctions last year, the existing logistics was broken. We had to look for new logistical ways. "We will have to discuss these issues as well. At least, I believe that all the issues that you have asked me to resolve at the level of the President of the Russian Federation in order to open the ports for us have been resolved. The only thing that is left is to start loading cargo at these ports. Although we have already begun to load something, we need to build these ports faster, bring them to a certain level and trade through our own ports.

We will have to continue working in difficult conditions. Therefore the President urges the participants of the meeting to a constructive dialogue and building a clear plan for 2023.
