Igor Kornet, acting head of the LNR police was injured in an explosion in the center of Lugansk, RIA Novosti reported, citing a source in the law enforcement agencies.
According to the republic's acting head Leonid Pasechnik, seven people were injured in the explosion, all of them were taken to hospitals. Four men are in serious condition, among them is Kornet and a 17-year-old teenager.
"Medics are fighting for the lives of the victims," added the head of the republic.
Earlier it became known that an explosion broke out on May 15 in the center of Lugansk, in the premises of a barber shop near the building of the TV station. According to Leonid Pasechnik, it was a terrorist attack.
