About a third of the population of Moldova lives below poverty line

About one third of the population of Moldova lives below the poverty line. This was stated by a member of parliament, based on the data of the national bureau of statistics and trade union organizations. Diana Karaman emphasized that this indicator is recorded for the first time in the country's history. Moreover, 1.3% of the population live on about 2.5 euros a day. The MP also noted that unemployment and emigration increased in Moldova last year.
