Terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall - chronology of events

On March 22, Russia faced a terrible tragedy. The night before, a terrorist attack occurred in the "Crocus City Hall".

The building of the shopping and entertainment center extinguished all night. Now the fire is localized. Investigators, criminalists and experts are working on the site. All entertainment events have been canceled in the country.

The terrible chronicle of this night - in the report by Daria Belousova-Petrovskaya. "Crocus City Hall" - one of the largest concert halls not only in the Moscow Region, but also in Moscow. It hosts concerts of famous foreign and Russian stars. When the terrorist attack took place, there were more than 6 thousand people in the building.

People came to the concert of the rock band "Picnic", but a few minutes before the artists came on stage, people in camouflage uniforms with machine guns burst on the stage. There were also several explosions, and the building caught fire. Special forces, police officers and EMERCOM arrived at the scene of the tragedy. The area around the area was cordoned off, as there was an assumption that there was a car with explosives in the parking lot. Fortunately, after checking, it was not confirmed.

More than 100 ambulances were sent to the scene of the tragedy. From above, the roof of the building was extinguished with the help of helicopters, with a special system of water intake. To help the victims, volunteers came to "Crocus City Hall". These are young people who heard about the tragedy from the media and Telegram channels.

Qualified medical teams were mobilized to help in a matter of minutes. All the victims were rushed to the hospital.

Now there are more than 100 people in hospitals, among them there are children. One child is in serious condition.

The victim:

“They were standing at the exit, we went there, they saw us. They ran and started shooting at people. I ran and fell on the floor, pretended to die. The girl next to me was killed. Then the flames broke out, they closed the door, but I guess they couldn't close the lock. I lay under the door and breathed the air. After a while I crawled out, about 3-4 minutes. I looked around, realized that no one was there, and went out.”

Immediately after the incident, the "Interception" plan was announced in Moscow and the region. All entrances and exits from the city were closed. Cars were thoroughly searched. Security measures on railroads and airports were also strengthened.

After the tragedy, the Belarusian embassy in Russia began to check the information, whether there are citizens of our country among the victims. Diplomats ask all Belarusians, who are now in Moscow and Moscow Region, not to panic and trust only the official information.
