U.S. decides to accelerate deployment of B61-12 atomic bombs in Europe, Politico reports

The United States intends to accelerate the placement of its B61-12 nuclear bombs in European countries. It is reported by TASS referring to the American edition Politico.

It was initially planned that B61-12 bombs were supposed to be delivered to Europe next spring. However, according to Politico, those plans have been adjusted: the bombs will be placed in European countries by December 2022.

Politico notes that the decision to accelerate the deployment of U.S. nuclear weapons in Europe could have been made against a backdrop of increasing tensions between Russia and Western countries.
