The U.S. is once again bombing another nation's territory. On Biden's orders, the US fighter jets carried out airstrikes on two facilities in eastern Syria. The Pentagon says there were weapons and ammunition depots there that belong to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and groups involved. And all of this has nothing to do with the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, but is a response to the attacks against Americans in Iraq and Syria on October 17. They resulted in the death of one contract worker and lightly wounded more than 20 fighters.
However, according to the pan-Arab Al Mayadeen TV channel, there are no military depots in the rural areas hit by the planes. A sharp reaction has already followed from Iran. The Arab country's foreign minister appealed to American statesmen that Tehran does not welcome the spread of war. "West Asia is our region and there are no reservations when it comes to security at home," the minister said.
