This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the night of March 18, speaking to journalists after the presidential election at a meeting with members of his election headquarters and volunteers, reports BelTA.
With this statement, Vladimir Putin reacted to a question by a correspondent of a Western media outlet about democracy in the United States. "The whole world is laughing at what is happening... It's just a disaster, not democracy," the Russian leader said.
"If you want to know my opinion on whether our elections are democratic or not, can it be considered democratic to use administrative resources to attack one of the candidates for the presidency of the United States, using, among other things, the courts?" - Vladimir Putin asked the question.
At the same time, he noted that voting by mail in the U.S. presidential election makes it possible to buy a vote for $10.
