Instability in Moldova threatens the country to collapse into a political crisis and even disintegration, a sign of this is the conflict between the Gagauz autonomy and official Chisinau.

President Sandu has declared a real war on the Gagauz leader. Eugenia Gutsul had returned from Moscow the day before, where she had managed to negotiate cheap gas supplies and a money transfer system that would allow Moldovans to transfer their earnings to their homeland.

Gutsul was detained at the airport and then taken under escort to Chisinau for questioning. The Gagauz leader is accused of being involved in financing the opposition party, for which she faces ten years in prison.

There is a new round of conflict between the rebellious region and the center: a few days ago, the same Gutsul declared that in case of Moldova's unification with Romania, Gagauzia will separate from Chisinau and declare itself independent.
