Confronting sanctions, obtaining licenses for the Olympic Games in Paris, as well as the organization of competitions that can become an alternative to international starts. Today Moscow hosted a joint meeting of the commissions of the NOC of Belarus and the Russian Olympic Committee. This is a direct dialog between athletes and sports leadership. Unfortunately, the slogan "Sport beyond politics" has long lost its relevance. Therefore, today it is especially important to defend and protect the rights of our athletes in international instances.
Professional sport is always a competition of the strongest and healthy competition. But in recent years, Belarus and Russia have to fight not for results, but for the rights of their athletes. For two years already, the NOC of Belarus and the Russian Olympic Committee have been closely cooperating to legally resist sanctions. Russian colleagues come to us for the Athletes' Forum, and we in turn come to them for a joint meeting of the commissions of athletes of the two countries.
