Putin sends greetings to participants, organizers and guests of II CIS Games

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent greetings to the participants, organizers and guests of the II CIS Games.

"The current Games have significantly expanded their geography, united in Belarusian cities thousands of participants, their coaches, mentors and fans. And in the coming days they will provide athletes with a great opportunity to compete with strong rivals, to show character and will, the desire to fight to the end and win. I am confident that the II CIS Games will convincingly demonstrate their creative, consolidating potential, will serve to develop international humanitarian cooperation, strengthen personal and human contacts and, of course, will contribute to the popularization of sports, promote the values of a healthy, active lifestyle, especially among young people," the Russian leader said in his greeting.
