The summit took place with participation of Belarusian and Russian leaders.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that there are a number of issues, which will be considered at a meeting.

According to Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, the union state is developing successfully and to a certain extent, even became a driver of development of integration processes on the post-Soviet space, Today we have the opportunity to take the next steps in the development of our special relationship.

On the agenda of today's meeting there more than a dozen issues. They cover the whole spectrum of activities of the association of the two countries. The two leaders discussed specific joint action plan for the return of the previous level of economic interaction.

According to Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus and Russia are in difficult conditions of global economic instability, a crisis of confidence in international relations, the escalation of the armed conflict and the exacerbation of information wars. We reaffirmed our commitment to strengthen the Belarusian-Russian cooperation in all areas, to solve any problems. Belarus and Russia did not fully realize the potential of trade and economic relations. In a situation of global economic downturn it is hardly justified. Any imbalances between countries, the inconsistency in the conduct of economic policies are sensitive to mutual trade. Therefore, the removal of barriers to ensure the effective functioning of the single market for goods, services and capital, as well as mutual support is our common area of interest.

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia said that our federal state is faced with the challenge, but Russia and Belarus have enough internal resources, utilizing which we will be able to restore the sustainable economic development of the Union State.
