The President of Turkmenistan was greeted at the airport with bread and salt, guard of honor and Turkmen national music. On the red carpet Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was accompanied by Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich. This is the third visit of the President of Turkmenistan in our country. From the airport the Turkmen leader went to the Palace of Independence, where negotiations at the highest level were held. The President of Turkmenistan met the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established over 20 years ago, in 1993. Today, the official Minsk and Ashgabat are strategic partners not only in politics but also in economics.
