Head of the State pays working visit to Mogilev Region

Darya Belousova-Petrovskay: Alexander Lukashenko visited one of the city's road bridges across the Dnieper River, which ties two districts of the city. The President also visited the factory Protos, where he talked to the workers. The economic performance and the pace of development of the area caused great dissatisfaction of the President, and therefore a decision to hold the meeting on current issues was taken right on the spot. As for the development of the road network in Belarus, there is a clear need of unloading large cities. Alexander Lukashenko instructed to build additional interchange.


But the head of the state was interested in not only the city, the main issue is the situation in the entire Mogilev region.


According to Assistant of the President, the Chief Inspector of the Mogilev region Gennady Lavrenkov, the main reason for this situation is lack of professional staff and the weak position of the governor.


State control emphasizes that many orders of the President simply do not work. The Head of the State was also interested in fighting corruption and economic crimes.

At the end of the meeting, Alexander Lukashenko reminded that from January 1, 2015 a law banning officials, who have failed in their duties and business from occupying high positions in both public and private institutions will come into force.
