By Olga Makei: The National Medical Center in Minsk will be transferred to the 2nd hospital, and a new medical center will soon appear in Zhdanovichi.

The National Medical Center is a modern Belarusian clinic. It provides medical care for public officials – nearly 6,000 of them, as well as ordinary citizens. So it works for 17,000 patients all in all.

Three years ago, the President made a decision to transfer to Minsk the medical centre that works for 17,000 people, and to build a small but modern analogue in Zhdanovichi. The implementation of the project allows saving hundreds of millions of dollars.

The new medical centre will be able to provide medical care for 10,000 people. The services will be provided both free of charge and on a for-fee basis. The center is expected to open by early 2018. As a result, in the center of the city, there will be a unique complex for the entire country that will bring together a number of consultation centres and top professionals in one place.
