President of Belarus receives report of head of Investigative Committee

The President intends to hear reports on the results of work of all law enforcement agencies in 2017.

Today Alexander Lukashenko has listened to the report from head of the Investigative Committee Ivan Noskevich. First of all, the Head of State was interested in the activities of the young structure. The Investigative Committee was established in September 2011. A number of criminal cases that are under the control of the President and received the greatest public response were discussed at the meeting.

The number of crimes committed in the country decreases, and therefore the number of applications considered by the committee is also declining. At the same time, the clearance rate is growing. Now this figure has reached 71 percent. The level of reimbursement of damage has increased by almost 15 percent.

The President was also interested in the progress of optimization of the Investigative Committee. Strengthening of cooperation and the study of the experience of the investigative committees of other countries were also discussed. This year the Belarusian department held a number of meetings and negotiations with colleagues from Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In addition, working contacts with European and American partners have been established.
