President A. Lukashenko addresses Belarusians and Russians

Belarus and Russia today celebrate the Unity Day. On this occasion, the President of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, President Alexander Lukashenko addressed the Belarusians and Russians. This year is  the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State. This period is marked by significant achievements in cooperation.

“The principles of mutual trust and equality laid in the basis of our unity allow us to pursue a coordinated foreign policy, successfully address modern challenges and threats.  The Union construction ensures the preservation of common humanitarian space, all-round cultural ties, maintaining warm human relations.

There is no estrangement between our countries, there is freedom of movement and employment, social guarantees, equal access to medical services and education. It is necessary to further expand the Belarusian-Russian cooperation,” the statement says.

The Head of the Belarusian State Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Council of Ministers of the Union State, the government of Russia, the Council of Federation, the State Duma, the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, the State Secretary of the Union State.
