President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the command, staff and veterans of the country’s border service on their professional holiday.
“In the year of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, you honorably continue the traditions of our homeland’s border defenders, who heroically faced the first attack of Nazi invaders in the Soviet land. Today, strengthening the borders of the independent Belarus is of great importance. Maintaining combat patrols, the border service bodies suppress the channels of illegal migration and drug trafficking and counter the spread of international terrorism, which is possible due to the further improvement of the border guard system and the troops’ combat and moral readiness”, the message reads. The President has expressed special gratitude to the veterans who have devoted their lives to border service.
