President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulates Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on his election as Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as well as on the success of the election campaign and the formation of the government of Pakistan. This is reported by BelTA with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"I wish you to realize all the plans and projects for further development of your beautiful country, meeting the needs of the Pakistani society. I am convinced that cooperation with Minsk will contribute to this. Islamabad has been our reliable partner for 30 years. It is pleasant to note that the governments of Belarus and Pakistan are faithfully implementing the agreement to intensify bilateral ties, which we reached during our personal meetings in Samarkand and Astana in 2022," the congratulatory message reads.
Thus, the meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in Minsk, the official visit of the Belarusian Foreign Minister to Islamabad and other bilateral events were held in 2023.
"I reiterate my readiness to visit Pakistan this year. I am convinced that our meeting will help deepen cooperation in the fields of industry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, petrochemicals, electric transport, education, science and technology," the head of state emphasized.
