Alexander Lukashenko arrives in China at personal invitation of Xi Jinping

China gathers friends for a grand parade to mark the 70th anniversary of China’s victory in the anti-Japanese war and the end of the Second World War. The VIP box at Tiananmen Square has prepared places for the UN Secretary General and representatives of 49 countries. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was among the first leaders to arrive in Beijing.

Celebration in Beijing is also a major political event. Heads of the BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organization will arrive there. The President of Belarus will hold a number of bilateral meetings in Beijing.

It is expected that tomorrow the Belarusian president will meet with First Vice-Premier of the State Council Zhang Gaoli and President Xi Jinping.
