Personnel changes concern system of diplomatic missions of Belarus abroad and Interior Ministry

The President considered personnel issues today. Anatoly Markarevich has been appointed Minister of Culture. He faces a large and responsible amount of work to strengthen the role of culture in all aspects of public life.

There have been changes in the system of diplomatic missions of Belarus abroad. Yuri Senko will work as an ambassador to China. Andrei Ravkov will head the Belarusian embassy in Azerbaijan, Alexander Konyuk in Armenia, Andrei Metelitsa in Pakistan. Pavel Vzyatkin will travel to Kenya and will represent our interests in Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, as well as several international organizations.

There are reshuffles in the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Yuri Nazarenko was promoted and became the first deputy minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, chief of the public security police. Nikolai Karpenkov has been appointed Deputy Interior Minister and will command the internal troops. Andrei Lyubimov has a new position, now he is the head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
