Sebastian Kurtz, OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Austria:

"I consider it a very important positive signal that the meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is taking place in Minsk. And I, of course, am very glad that we have the opportunity to talk about bilateral relations between Belarus and Austria. You, of course, know that Austrian enterprises are very active in Belarus. I am happy to be here not only as Austrian Foreign Minister, but also as the OSCE Chairman-in-Office. Therefore, we can discuss with you not only bilateral issues, but also the problems of the OSCE, where, unfortunately, especially in connection with the Ukrainian crisis, there are a lot of problems. "

In recent years, relations between Minsk and Vienna have significantly intensified, including in the economy. In the first half of 2017, Belarusian exports grew by 43%. Austrian business actively invests money in Belarus. Last year nearly 300 million dollars of investment came from this country.
