Signatures in support of candidates have been collected in the country for a week already. Members of 8 initiative groups are collecting signatures on specially organized pickets and visit the apartment of voters.
As noted by the head of the CEC, the collection of signatures is held without violations, under the scrutiny of national observers.
The collection of signatures in support of the nomination of presidential candidates will be held until August, 21. For a candidate to be registered, at least 100 thousand signatures are required. Every citizen of Belarus has the right to sign for the nomination of several candidates, but he can not subscribe two or more times for one candidate.
