The military and political situation in the CSTO collective security regions is being discussed at a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of the CSTO Security Councils in Minsk. A TV news agency crew is on the scene.

The center of attraction and a platform for a thorough and trustful dialogue is Minsk. A meeting of the CSTO Ministerial Council-CMO-CSSB is taking place in the capital today. The National Library was chosen as the venue for the event.
According to protocol, the meeting was preceded by a welcoming ceremony and a photo opportunity. Immediately after the discussion of the military and political situation in the area of responsibility of the organization and neighboring regions, as well as the results of multilateral cooperation within the CSTO and prospects for further development of the collective security system.
As the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry noted at the opening ceremony, 2023 was extremely difficult and tense for the CSTO. Nevertheless, the members of the organization held almost all the events planned for the year.
The meeting will be followed by the signing of joint documents, and then the summit of the organization will be held in Minsk tomorrow.
