Belarus and China are expanding their partnership in all areas, from trade to joint production. Yuri Senko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China, summed up the results of the big marathon of Beijing meetings. Belarus moved from the 138th position to the 36th position in terms of the rate of export to China. And this, according to the ambassador, is not the limit.
"Even in 2022, if we look at the statistics of our mutual trade, we have got an increase of Belarusian exports to China by about 176%. This is a good result," said Senko.
According to him, Belarusian goods and Belarusian export products do not need any additional advertising for the Chinese and the very name "Belarus" tells them that it is quality, it is the environment and that these are very useful products, especially food.
The ambassador also added: "Today our Ministry of Agriculture is ready to increase the volume of trade with China, there is potential for this due to the fact that we increase production capacity. All the sanction topics are generally clear, we have redistributed, diversified export, and today we are talking about increasing the volume of production and offers of our Belarusian products to our Chinese friends. We will see it by the results of 2023. Even in January 2023, Belarusian exports increased by 200%. I am convinced that the results of the negotiations will have a colossal effect and result, by 200%.
