The President will have to reckon with the decisions of the All-Belarusian People’s Congress - the body, which has received constitutional powers. But it is important to avoid conflict. This was stated by President Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting, timed to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Belarus, reports BelTA.
"The All-Belarusian Congress is a serious people's constitutional control over all processes in the country. And the President, whichever President is there, will have to reckon with the decisions that will be made at the All-Belarusian Congress. My task now is to prevent this conflict. It has always been like this in history - they have always been in conflict. And we must not allow it. I am sure that with your help, people who are educated and advanced, we will be able to do it. We need to hold the country together," said the Belarusian leader.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that the All-Belarusian Congress as a collective mind will choose the best development option.
