It is time for serious consolidation within the CIS. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Bishkek, BelTA informs.
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that there are enough examples of successful work in the CIS. This is also confirmed by the rich agenda of the summit, which includes, among other things, a number of major joint statements. "They confirm that the countries have common approaches to such pressing issues as freedom of religion, inadmissibility of discrimination on the basis of language, harmonization of public administration systems in the field of digital technologies," the head of state said.
The President emphasized the importance of the adoption of the statement on interstate relations in a multipolar world: "It generally reflects our common vision of the foundations of the world order, except for the paragraph in which it was proposed to express concern about the politicization of international courts. But even this mild formulation was not supported by everyone. Why do we need these international courts? Especially in our relations. All the more, we understand, especially now, what it is done for."
"Apparently, someone just hasn't been affected by it yet. Someday you'll want to help children, give them a little childhood, save them from bombings and explosions, and you'll be put on the international wanted list for this," said the Belarusian leader.
