Foreign policy is one of priorities of Belarus’ current five-year plan

By Alexei Adashkin: One of the priorities of Belarus’ current five-year plan is foreign policy, the immutable principle being its multi-vector nature. Belarus relies on strengthening cooperation with both its neighbour countries and the West. References to a constructive dialogue in this direction were approved by the Fourth All-Belarusian People's Assembly. In recent years, relations with the European Union and the United States have been normalised. In the international arena, Belarus has confirmed the image of a peace-loving state by actively using the rostra of the UN, OSCE, the Non-Aligned Movement and the recent historical Normandy Four meeting in Minsk.
