Lukashenko calls nonsense claims that Russia can attack NATO

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called it nonsense to claim that Russia may attack NATO. He said this while answering one of the journalists' questions in St. Petersburg, BelTA reports.

The question was asked: "Borrel said in the European Union that Russia is going to attack NATO. That is, we will deal with Ukraine now..."

"This is folly. This man is just unsound. He has nothing to do with politics. If he was smart, he would have thought this way: God willing, let us deal with these problems in Russia. Are we going to pile new problems on top of those that already exist? Any man would think so," said Alexander Lukashenko.

"Do we need to fight a new war today? We need to deal with this one in Ukraine?. Especially now, when the situation is favorable. And not only for us. But also for them, so as not to lose Ukraine. I understand it so," the Belarusian leader added.
