Only the partner countries themselves can be the guarantor of sustainable and safe development in the CIS. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the CIS summit in Bishkek, BelTA informs.
"The common focus allows us to consistently increase interaction in all areas of multifaceted cooperation, despite the new unprecedented challenges. By and large, they made us shake up, take a fresh look at the situation and find solutions that were on the surface. Today's results speak for themselves," said the Belarusian leader.
Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that the partners have done a lot for the future: "While the West is investing in war, or, simply put, wasting their taxpayers' money, we are increasing investment every year with a long-range perspective - in knowledge-intensive industries, such as microelectronics, aircraft construction, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, information and communication solutions. We can solve many problems only together. If we are not together, we will only talk about these topics."
"Only we ourselves can be the guarantor of our sustainable and safe development. And for this we need to be self-sufficient in strategically important industries. We have the resources, potential and competencies for this. What is needed is political will and understanding of the value of the Commonwealth format," the President emphasized.
