Good and friendly relations have developed between Belarus and Tajikistan. This was stated by Speaker of the Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Belarus Safarzoda Bakhtovar Amirali.
According to the speaker of the upper chamber of parliament, thanks to the work carried out by the leaders of Belarus and Tajikistan, today we have not just reliable partners, but good friends. This is especially important in the work in international organizations within the SCO and CIS. Mutual support in modern conditions, when the world is especially fragile, is the key direction in the work of the parliamentarians of all countries. The Speaker of the Upper House urged to intensify the work on youth. Belarus and Tajikistan also intend to strengthen trade and economic ties.
Tajikistan sells us cotton, fiber, fruits and nuts. Joint production projects are also being developed. For example, a joint corporation for the assembly of agricultural machinery is already working in Tajikistan. Cooperation in light industry is also important for our country. There is also interest in mutually increasing tourist flows.
