Belarus and China have confirmed their readiness to develop a multifaceted partnership. This was stated during the meeting of Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong, as BelTA reports with reference to the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
"The interlocutors exchanged opinions on topical issues of the bilateral agenda. They confirmed the readiness for further development of multifaceted partnership between the countries across the entire spectrum of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation," the ministry said.
The diplomats discussed the upcoming bilateral events, including the meeting of the Belarusian-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee on Cooperation, discussed in detail the interaction in regional and international organizations, and confirmed the readiness to continue mutual support in matters affecting the fundamental interests of both countries.
"The readiness of the Chinese side to continue supporting Belarus in joining the SCO, as well as building our country's cooperation with the BRICS was noted," the press service added.
