8 декабря 2023

New areas of cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam are being discussed today by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko with his counterpart and the President of Vietnam. The talks kicked off as part of the official visit of the Belarusian government delegation to Hanoi.

The interaction between our countries is characterized by a high level of mutual understanding and positive dynamics of cooperation in all areas, said Roman Golovchenko during the talks with his colleague. He called this meeting another important milestone in the history of Belarusian-Vietnamese relations. There are no unresolved issues of principle between the two countries, and our friendship has been tested by time.

Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Vietnam:

“We pursue an independent and multi-vector policy and being your friend, we stand for peace, stability and development in the region and the world. One of our priorities is to develop relations with traditional friends. Belarus is among them. We value these relations and thank your country for its support and shipment of medical equipment in 2021. We consider Belarus an important partner and will develop ties for the well-being of the peoples of our countries.”

Mutual trade turnover is also growing. Last year, the total volume amounted to 180 million dollars, and in 9 months of this year it has already reached 200 million dollars. Today, the countries are ready to search for new areas of cooperation. At the moment, Ho Chi Minh City is hosting the Vietnam Expo exhibition.
