Speaker of the Council of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich has had a meeting with a delegation from the Chinese Parliament. The head of the delegation is the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China. The leaders of both houses of the Belarusian Parliament took part in the meeting. The parties discussed strategies of further cooperation, various promising projects, and new areas of partnership.
Speaker of the Council of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich stated that the two countries will also focus on implementing joint economic and investment projects that are beneficial to both Belarus and China, as well as to the cooperation with third parties.
Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhang Dejiang added that today’s meeting was fruitful and better understanding was achieved.
As a result of the talks, the parties signed a joint statement of cooperation.
The agenda of today’s visit also includes a visit to the Great Stone industrial park.
