Belarus and India sign program of cooperation in field of culture

Belarus and India have signed an intergovernmental cooperation program for 2023-2025. The ceremony was held on November 9 at the Ministry of Culture of India, BELTA writes.

"Cultural ties between the two countries, as well as the ties between the peoples of our countries are of immense importance. The today's agreement will contribute to further deepening of mutual cooperation and familiarization with the cultural traditions of Belarus and India," said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to India Andrei Rzheusky.

The signed program envisages holding the Days of Culture of India in Belarus and Belarus in India, exchange of music and art groups, mutual participation in various contests and festivals.

The program provides for cooperation between theaters, museums, galleries and libraries of the two countries, organization of mutual exhibitions and exchange of experts.

According to India's Deputy Minister of Culture Govind Mohan, the implementation of joint projects will expand the whole range of Belarusian-Indian cooperation in the cultural and entertainment sector, as well as contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the countries for tourists and other trips.
