The introduction of the single currency with Russia is a higher level of integration, which the parties have not yet approached. The news agencies are publishing new details of Alexander Lukashenko's interview with the director general of the international news agency Russia Today. A number of resonant issues both inside Belarus and on the international agenda (from refugees on the border with Poland to deployment of nuclear weapons, strengthening of NATO bases near Belarusian borders - and the energy balance in the region) were addressed. The topic of reliable partners, close integration in the post-Soviet space and, in particular, within the framework of the Union State was also mentioned.

What about the referendum on the updated Constitution? As it was planned, it should take place in February (unless some emergency situation arises, said the Head of State). Alexander Lukashenko also did not rule out the early presidential elections after the adoption of the Basic Law. Its draft is planned to be published before the New Year.
