By Natalia Tarasyuk: Early in the year, changes will affect the national road toll collection system. As part of Phase 2 of the BelToll Project, the equipment for the electronic system will be installed along the entire length of Minsk-Mogilev (M4) highway. By the way, BelToll service points will be closed on January 1,2,6 and 7 and open from 9:00 till 18:00 on January 3-4 and 8-11. At the same time, distributional and border service centers will be working 24/7.

Thus, BelToll will cover over 930 km of national highways. The system is constantly improving. Apart from that, 23 stations are already being developed along M-5, M-6, M-7 and P-1 highways. In course of time, these new highway sections will become toll roads. The quality of Belarusian roads will be gradually improving.

The number of registered vehicles has reached almost 155,000. Mainly, these are cars and trucks from Belarus (about 82,000 vehicles), Russia and Poland.
